If you are instructed to apply any stickers to your hardhat, you are to call the hall immediately.
Permits
The Dept. of Public Safety is now requiring that permits be displayed on all construction and repair jobs. Word from the DPS is that any repair that is not regular maintenance (packings are considered a maintenance item) will require a permit. Both the licensed elevator constructor and the company are responsible for ensuring that permits are pulled. Cover yourself, make sure permits are pulled and displayed before starting a job.
Machine Beams
Just a reminder, machine beams are not to be hoisted with a crane. They are to be brought up the hoistway as per the agreement. We are NOT going to give this work away. If you are instructed to hoist anything using a crane, you are to call the hall and speak to a Business Rep.
